Welcome, my name is Barbara van Eck.
Through this site I would like you to meet with me and my greatest hobby, making bears.
Toghether with my husband and our two children I live in Apeldoorn.
The bearmaking started when I jointed a workshop toghether with my mother.
I made a bear, that was pretty ugly but I was so proud that I'd made my first bear ever.
From that moment I started visiting fairs and buying bearmagazines to learn more about bearmaking.
That is were I got my first patterns. And at fairs I also bought joints, glaseyes and fabric.
In 2003 I started making my own designs.
I only sew by hand because I make mostly mini bears.
A few times a year I am a participant at a fair, what I always feel as a party.
Through this site I put an amount of my bears up for "adoption".
But also fabric, patterns and some kits to make yourself.
Regularly this site will be updated by my husband Hans.
